EPDOR provided its client with mapping and a thorough analysis of potential sites for the construction of large photovoltaic parks in the Czech Republic. The selection of suitable candidate sites was based on a multi-criteria evaluation, taking into account, inter alia: (a) location of sites according to real estate cadastre, ownership, easements, technical infrastructure, (b) position of sites in terms of potential links to consumers, (c) position of sites in terms of simultaneous connection of PV to the system, etc. Part of the project was also the evaluation of the possibilities of implementing a battery energy storage and the potential for providing support services to the transmission system operator.
