A successful year with ŠKODA Enyaq iV

It has been more than a year since this white beauty first connected to the charging cable in our office's parking lot and became an integral part of the company, reliably serving three of our colleagues. The electric mobility industry has seen tremendous progress since then and the transition to cleaner and more sustainable means of transport has come within sight. Latest developments point toward the age of electricity making its way into Czech garages and parking lots as well. After all, the European Union has set clean mobility as one of its main objectives in the effort to become more ecological and ensure better environment. Lists of pros of electric vehicles most often include the driving experience, maintenance costs, sustainability, and generally a smaller carbon footprint.

So, what's our impression of everyday, long-term use? With around 35,000 km covered we can confirm that the vehicle performs very well on a daily commute and can comfortably cover a distance of 150 km from Prague to the Náchodsko region as well. Compared to combustion-engine cars, this vehicle offers a smooth and comfortable ride that's much quieter and, most importantly, produces zero emissions. The range and power consumption suit our needs just fine, and we mostly charge with energy produced by the solar panels on our premises. The cherry on top is its modern, stylish and timeless interior that enhances the driving experience.

The shift towards electromobility is in full swing, and with the charging network expanding and the electric car industry developing dynamically the future of private transport is becoming clear. Our experience confirms that there's nothing to be worried about, on the contrary, there's lots to look forward to when it comes to innovation in electromobility and its benefits for this generation and the next.
