EPDOR and ABMI Groupe collaborate to secure experts for European nuclear projects

The construction of new nuclear power sources is currently a highly topical issue, especially with the ongoing tender for new nuclear units at Dukovany and Temelín. The plan includes leveraging the manufacturing and engineering capabilities of the Czech Republic, as Czech companies are capable and ready to participate in the construction process of new nuclear sources, providing comprehensive technologies and services. To ensure the long-term operation and maintenance of nuclear facilities, it is essential to secure a sufficient number of experts with university degrees, specialized training, and technical education. Nuclear power plants require engineers from various fields – civil engineers, mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, control and regulation specialists, quality control experts, and occupational safety specialists.

The collaboration to secure a qualified workforce for European nuclear projects is the subject of a Memorandum of Understanding between EPDOR and ABMI Groupe, a French engineering group with extensive expertise and long-standing experience in nuclear technology. This strategic partnership in engineering consultancy will create new business opportunities across Europe, particularly in the Czech Republic, France, and the United Kingdom. Both parties are committed to being reliable partners in recruiting and training experts, with the aim of transferring knowledge, achieving top-level competence in nuclear energy, and ensuring a quick and effective integration process into practice.

The demand for highly qualified experts in nuclear energy remains strong, and the need for new specialists will only grow in the coming years.
