EPDOR participates on a feasibility study for the construction of a new steam-gas power plant in Central Europe
Although the recent discussion regarding energy transformation has been dominated by the topics of renewables, smart grid, and the construction of a new nuclear unit in Dukovany, we believe gas needs to be an integral part of the equation given its numerous advantages, such as flexibility, low emissions (which can be further magnified by co-firing of hydrogen) and the low price it is currently being sold for. EPDOR leans towards a vision of the future in which gas is an important stabilizing element in the diversified source portfolio of the Czech energy industry, and therefore it is a great honor for us to assist our client in considering the construction of a steam-gas cycle.
