Study of the business potential for decommissioning of photovoltaic panels in the Czech Republic

For the company ÚJV, a.s. we prepared a study that mapped the situation on the Czech market regarding the decommissioning of photovoltaic panels ("solar decommissioning"). Our analysts first evaluated the general situation on the Czech photovoltaic market and made an estimate of the number of panels that were probably being phased out over time. Furthermore, the current level of the technological process of panel recycling was evaluated and the competitive environment and plans of Czech and foreign companies to develop their recycling capacities and techniques were analyzed. Last but not least, the current and planned legislation regulating the environment for recycling energy equipment was also mapped. In the end, the client was introduced to several sub-areas in which it is possible to see the business potential of this activity.
